Celebrating a Historic Year in Conservation

26 Jun 2019

What a year – 2019 has been the most exciting and successful year for conversation achievements in the Nature Trust’s 25 year history! Thanks to the faithful support of our incredible donors, volunteers, landowners and conservation partners, we were able to leverage over $5 million to protect 3,200 acres of high-priority conservation lands across the province in less than six months through our historic Lasting Landscapes campaign.

Saving land is only the beginning for effective, lasting conservation. We’ve also had tremendous growth and development in our stewardship program this year. Thanks to the dedication of our Volunteer Coordinator, Ryan MacLean, our Property Guardians program has grown by 90%, and it’s still growing.

Read more about this historic year for the Nature Trust in our 2018/2019 Gratitude Report and take a moment to enjoy this short video featuring music by Jenn Grant and awe-inspiring photographs of our new conservation lands.
