Adopt a Wood Turtle

Full colour whimsical illustration of a Wood Turtle. The Wood Turtle gets its name from the wood-like texture of its carapace (upper shell), but they are most easily identifiable by the bright orange colour found on their chin, neck, and inner forelegs, and by their yellow plastron (under-shell) with black splotches. With a slow reproduction cycle, significant habitat loss and ever-increasing threats from cars, these turtles need our help. Your symbolic adoption of a Wood Turtle will help support much-needed land conservation for this threatened freshwater turtle species.
