The American Marten was once present throughout Nova Scotian forests. Due in large part to habitat loss, they are now found in only two locations in very low numbers and are designated as provincially endangered. Protecting our remaining healthy forests is essential to ensuring the survival of these elusive (and adorable!) predators.
