A refuge for mainland Moose
The vast forest and freshwater wilderness of Wentworth Valley is home to endangered mainland Moose, threatened Wood Turtles, and many species of birds. In this focus area, the Nature Trust protects 213 acres of rare old forests, river bottom, and wetlands. Our two properties also expand the provincial Wentworth Valley Wilderness Area, together preserving more than 5,200 contiguous acres of conserved nature.
