The Nature Trust is working to protect 30 acres of island habitat in our Pu’tlaqne’katik focus area, which has been identified as a priority for long-term conservation due to its ecological significance. The property is located within mapped critical habitat for Blanding’s Turtles under provincial recovery strategies and the property’s shoreline conditions are consistent with Atlantic Coastal Plain Flora habitat.

Right now, the Nature Trust can leverage every dollar donated to unlock four additional dollars to keep this freshwater island and other irreplaceable wild places In Our Nature, forever.

A gift of $100 unlocks $400 more for a total of $500. A $1,000 gift becomes $5,000. No matter the size of your gift, you can make a huge impact on saving Nova Scotia’s natural legacy, right now.
