Resolutions Gone Wild!

JOIN THE EXPEDITION FOR THE EARTH—A ONCE IN A LIFETIME (AND GOOD FOR THE EARTH) ADVENTURE!
Join our new adventure trek and experience the wilds of Patagonia, Chile!  Test your mettle on an unforgettable guided trek, discover one of the world’s most spectacular national parks, and help to protect wild places in your own backyard.  February, 2013.  For more information go to ExpeditionfortheEarth.ca.

JOIN THE BLUE NOSE MARATHON WILDERNESS SOLES TEAM
Run or walk in any Blue Nose event this year (youth run, 5k, 10k, half or full marathon) and collect pledges for the Nature Trust, one of 3 featured charities in the Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge!  Get fit, lose weight and save the wild too!  Even better, bring along some friends to share the fun--create your own Blue Nose team through your work, your book club, hiking club or hockey buddies...  Visit nsnt.ca/bluenose or see our Wilderness Soles team page on the Charity Challenge website.

TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE
Join us on a Nature Trust excursion this year.  Come out for a wilderness paddle, an educational snowshoe or hike, and discover the wonders of Nova Scotia’s wild places.

RAISE FUNDS FOR NATURE—YOUR WAY
Whether you climb a remote mountain, kayak a wild river, or host a kitchen party, convert your challenge or event into a conservation fundraiser, using Canadahelps, an easy to use (and free) online fundraising tool. To help you get started, see our guide to setting up a CanadaHelps GivingPage and a list of fundraising ideas.

HELP NATURE WHILE YOU WORK!
See if your company matches employee donations, have ‘casual’ days for conservation, or host a fundraising event (BBQ, coffee breaks etc.) for conservation.  We’ve got a great list of workplace fundraising ideas to get you started.

Turn your good intentions into action by donating your time for nature.  Volunteer at the Blue Nose, the annual Dinner or a summer event.   Help out in the office, out in the field or on a committee.  If you're interested, please check out our volunteer needs page and download our volunteer application form.

Make all your gifts this year, “gifts of nature.”  Give the Gift of water for birthdays or weddings.  Adopt an acre of coastline for Christmas.  Adopt a turtle  for mother’s day. The possibilities are endless!  For more information see our Gift of Nature flyer.

Donate to the Nature Trust!
All gifts are greatly appreciated, and translate into real conservation successes.   Resolve to give more than ever for the planet this year, or become a monthly donor—making gifts of nature all year long.  You can find more information on our donation page or donate online via CanadaHelps.
