Significance

Representative woodlands.

Details

The property is situated on the brow of the Gaspereau Mountain, south of the Village of Gaspereau.

The forest on the property is not pristine (in recent years has been subject to selective cutting), however; most species that are characteristic of upper slope Acadian Forests of this region are present and in time, with little or no active management, should return to a representative climax forest.

The woodland is mixed deciduous/coniferous with conifers being most prevalent. The property is bisected by a seasonal stream and provides an excellent view of the Wolfville Ridge, the dykelands of the Grand Pre, Minas Basin, and Cape Blomidon.
