"Farley's Ark" was so called in tribute to the Canadian literary icon's quest to save our natural world. Long advocates for the environment, Farley and his wife (and fellow author) Claire, donated this beautiful piece of coastal land to the Nature Trust for permanent protection as a conservation site.

The ecology of the site is diverse - providing coastal, woodland, and fen habitats to a variety of bird and marine species and wildlife.
