Undeveloped shoreline

Details

Located on a peninsula in St. Patricks Channel of the Great Bras d’Or Lake, Cape Breton, this spectacular property protects approximately 2.54km of shoreline. The shoreline provides an almost 360 degree vista that includes views of the south rise to the Cape Breton Highlands and Beinn Bhreagh.

The property is covered by naturally regenerating forest, predominantly white and black spruce and balsam fir, with a mixture of hardwoods. Karst outcrops on the property add diversity to the flora.

There are no roads on either side of this bay on this property, a unique situation on the shores of Great Bras d'Or Lake. As such, the bay is a favoured anchorage for visiting boats and yachts from the region and abroad. These sheltered waters provide habitat for estuarine and marine species, such as oysters and other molluscs, and resident and migrant shorebirds and waterfowl.
