2012 Blue Nose Marathon

Join the Wilderness Soles!
Have fun, get fit and help protect Nova Scotia’s natural areas at the same time! This year the Nature Trust has been chosen as one of three “Featured Charities” in the Blue Nose Marathon’s Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge. All participants in the Blue Nose marathon can join! Simply register for the Charity Challenge and start collecting pledges in support of the Nature Trust!
In 2011 we had 39 team members and raised just over $15,000. For 2012 we have set a goal of having 50 runners and raising at least $20,000. Together we can reach this goal!
Here's how you can help:
1. Walk or Run in the Blue Nose and raise funds for Nature!
There is a youth run, 5 or 10 km walk or run, ½ or full marathon—something for everyone!
Once you've registered for one of the runs, you can sign up for the charity challenge. You can sign up for our Wilderness Soles team, or create a new Charity Challenge team with your friends, coworkers, dog-walking buddies, book club, etc. to raise money, increase the fun, and meet your fitness and fundraising goals together!
* The Wilderness Soles is made up of runners and walkers of all skill levels, and so team members do not all run/walk in the event together, meaning that anyone can participate - just go at your own pace! *
Check out our list of great fundraising incentive prizes for team members!
